NHS Waltham Forest
Welcome to the new NHS Waltham Forest website. We have worked hard to improve it, making it easier and quicker for you to find the information you need (We are still working on updating and adding new content, so please bear with us). Let us know what you think of our site: we do welcome your feedback as it will help us make sure we keep improving. Visit the new poll feature (below) and tell us what you think.
NHS Waltham Forest commissions healthcare services for the population served by our local GP practices (estimated to be 264,712 in April 2008) and for our local population (GLA estimate 227,900, 2007). We are committed to improving the health of our local population. By working in partnership with local organisations (particularly the London Borough of Waltham Forest), and by listening to the communities we serve, we aim to provide the best possible healthcare and advice for those living and working in Waltham Forest.
Our Values
NHS Waltham Forest is determined to achieve sustained improvements in health and wellbeing for the local community by focusing on our role as the Leader of the local NHS and our close partnership with the LBWF to deliver this.
Our overriding commitment is to be accountable to local residents and to achieve this through enshrining corporate behaviour that facilitates this. To this end, we propose to align our existing values to those of the LBWF so that all our people understand our values and apply these in a consistent way. We will therefore build and embed the following ‘CORE’ values in the organisation, namely:
Continuous Service Improvement
Our Patients, Public and People
Respecting Diversity and Acting with Integrity
Ensuring Value for Money
